Sam Adams Recall

During a routine bottle inspection at one of our breweries, we detected possible defects in a small percentage of bottles resulting in the random presence of bits of glass, most the size of grains of sand, but some small slivers in some bottles as well.

yes, but dont you think it could be an issue coming out the next day? a hefty dose of the hershey squirts can burn enough, throw some glass coming out at mach 1 and i think you may be one hurting indian.

The best part? I posted that link without checking our bottles. Checked what was left in the fridge and found the remaining 3 Honey Porters were part of the recall. I already drank 3 of them.

It appears the bottles are random (in that it's not just Honey Porter... I heard of someone else who had White Ale that was affected, for example). Glad to hear yours wasn't affected!

Apparently I will get reimbursed but it's going to take like 8 weeks for the check to arrive. Hope it gets forwarded when we move. Went to the grocery store today and noticed that all the Sam Adams was removed from the shelf. Could end up in a shortage if stores are playing it safe.

Update: Got my reimbursement check today, as well as a letter of apology. Took a couple months, but they made good on it! :beer:
