Like GSS, I'm moving at the end of the month. Unlike GSS, I'm moving to my Killington place for the winter to live off my unemployment check and savings for the winter. I'm storing all my flatland stuff in my basement and swapping out furniture that was in the unit since it was built in 1987.

I think I'm driving to Killington on Saturday morning with a trailer load of junk to minimize what I have to deal with with the rental truck. I just did laundry so the washing machine goes into the basement. The gas grill and smoker go. I think I'll also grab the bureau and queen mattress & box spring out of my spare bedroom.

I guess I'll stay over Saturday night and drive back Sunday. My exercise routine has sucked this month so I want to get some hiking in. I had an invite to do the Bucklin Trail up the west face of Killington and I may do that on the way up and down the front face of Killington on the way down.

yer gonna need help bringing that bulky stuff down the stairs and into the 4 foot dungeon...

In Southern New England in general. Also known as the Packy.

Just can't beat the Friday afternoon Packy runs!

As a matter of fact it sounds so good that I think I'll have to do one of those very shortly! ;)

Reminds me of a sticker that my wife bought in a pirate store in Ocracoke, NC, in August. She proudly displays it on her car:" Well-behaved women rarely make history".
:)
Trekchick has that as her signature. :D

The best part @ the packy? Trying to carefully get the bottles out of the shopping cart (where I was afraid the kids would smash them) and as I was saying they made it safely to the counter, I knocked two bottles together and coconut rum ended up EVERYWHERE. The cashier and I were stunned. I ended up with coconut rum all over my jeans... And the guys were just so nice about it as they mopped up the mess. I thought for sure they'd charge me for it, but he said I was lucky it was before he rang it up.

I was so embarrassed. They said it happens all the time.

The start of a really suck ass weekend has started.

And to top it off....i MAY possibly have to get up sometimes during the day tomorrow to take/pick up one or both of the kids from football/cheer practice as their father is working too. Hopefully they take pity on mom and get rides.

You (and the kids) are going to have a blast! My wife has has actually seen them a 3rd time in Vegas. NYC show is the best due to the size/shape of the theater. When they change up their show, we will absolutely go see them again.

Had a great time. Kids loved it. my son got pulled on stage to participate in the act!! after the show we at dinner nearby and as we left the restaurant a family recognized him from being on stage. then again picking up the car a different family recognized him too. they were asking him all sorts of questions about it, he had blast!
