I don't know about the rope swing, but those rafts look like fun.

Pretty sick. How high was he jumping from do you think? How deep would the water have to be for that to be safe?

If they said it, I apologize; no speakers at work.

Just music, no narration. It does not look very deep to me, but there must be a decent sized hole where he is landing.

Generally speaking the one thing I've noticed over the years about mountain streams and lakes is that the water is so clear that what looks to be on some of those overhead shots maybe 5 feet deep is probably closer to 15+ feet deep.

Plus, I'm going to hope atleast that those guys scoped out that landing as much as they scoped out that launch point, since they looked liked they had done similar type things before as opposed to being "random, drunken lets just go for it" kind of guys ;)

That pool they are diving into is plenty deep enough. Judging from the blueness of the water there, I would guess at least 25 feet deep. As a fisherman, I would drool at the chance to fly fish in that pool with a weighted streamer like a grey ghost. Must be big trout in there.

He sure has alot of friends...I would be scared of diving on top of one of those rafts. That would hurt. And what did they toss the rope around? Looks like a wire to me. I would not trust the rope would stay there since it was just wrapped around it. The Batman thing would wear thin if the rope detached in mid-jump. That would really hurt.

Impressive. I noticed that one of the blue rafts had "Mountain Air Sports" on the side, so I looked it up. It's a raft rental on the Truckee River, which runs between Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake. Here's their link, which has a pic their bright blue raft:

So did we get a consensus on approx how high he is and how deep that water has to be to be safe? 100 ft and 25 ft or something like that? Is there a ratio guideline for this sort of thing?

...Only the thoughts of a flyfisherman eh' JimG..?..lol. "Take your diving axx outta here and let the trout relax!...and get back to feeding"

I have fished many times on the Housatonic in CT near Kent. There is a rafting outfitter upstream and I've had days where many types of craft float by. It doesn't affect the fishing all that much.

That really is a crowd there in that pool the guy is diving into. Diving into the rafts and people would worry me more than anything else. Maybe it's just the perspective in the video.
