Ahhhh. Stowe switched it's main page to winter mode.

Could be!
Who knows?
There's something due any day;
I will know right away,
Soon as it shows.
It may come cannonballing down through the sky,
Gleam in its eye,
Bright as a rose!

Who knows?
It's only just out of reach,
Down the block, on a beach,
Under a tree.
I got a feeling there's a miracle due,
Gonna come true,
Coming to me!

Could it be? Yes, it could.
Something's coming, something good,
If I can wait!
Something's coming, I don't know what it is,
But it is
Gonna be great!

Good start for sure, but I'd bet that most places will wait until the Tuesday after Columbus day to make the switch.

I know atleast down by Mount Snow this past weekend, the GREEN Mountains were still very much the GREEN Mountains

I've seen quite a few trees that gave it up last week and dropped their leaves due to the extreme heat. In a couple cases, only the leaves at the bottom remained, the top half was denuded.

Winter seemed close for a few days, but it seems fall was just teasing us a bit. Hot as hell today.

Maybe it's just me getting a bit more forgetfull these days  but having been up at Mount Snow every Labor Day weekend for the last 5 years, it did seem to me like the leaves were less along than they normally are, and Labor Day was late this year.

We are in a "fire warning" for the next few days, down here in Delaware, Southeast Pennsylvania and South New Jersey. I've lived here my whole life and have never heard of a "fire warning" around here before. We haven't had any measurable rain, since August 22nd. While mountain biking yesterday. I noticed the leaves wilting on the low growth shrubs and bushes.

The leaves will start falling in SoVT at the end of September. The only reason I know this...after the Wine and Harvest Festival last year, we cleaned up leaves.
