sitting in my office jealous of those who are not

I have a few people sending me digs as they get out to enjoy the fun today. I am very jealous and will hold it against all of you in the future. :wink:

Anyone coming up with any excuses that they can get away with to get out of work today? I working on a few to leave early. Skiing today won't happen, but 1st chair sat is on the agenda.

We had a school holiday yesterday and I went up to Mount Snow for the day. Everyone up there thought I was crazy for not calling in sick today and staying for the storm. Exams are coming up and it wouldn't be fair to my students to do so. Needless to say I got back home around 8 last night. Guess what I woke up to today? A phone call, It seems that school was cancled today. Oh well, I'm just happy I got in some good skiing yesterday. I'll take my friend to BJ's and Best Buy, clean up around the house and catch up on grading the kid's projects. (Life:Lemons:Lemonade)

To much to do to take the day off I'll be there for first chair tomorrow (if the kids cooperate) but I'm not looking forward to the drive tonight.

My network went down last night due to our accounting software and paperless solution taking up 67 gigabytes of empty storage. Needless to say, I was up late last night fixing the problem on our network and will not be taking any time off today.

Eh, it's cool. I just closed the door to the office, put up a "Not a good time to bug the IT guy" sign and cranked up the Skynyrd in iTunes.

So I'm spending the next three hours on hold and with our vendor to figure out WTF is going on in their application suite. Fun times. Good thing I don't keep any loaded weapons or light munitions here in the office... Because they would probably see some action by 11AM.

I guess the nice thing is that I'm on hold for a bunch of time and it gives me the opportunity to post here.
