Ski bike question

Pretty sure my plan for this year will involve a combination of ski bikes and outrigger.

For the ski bikes, what type of boots and socks are best? I'm wondering if my shoveling boots will work. Recommendations on what to look for would be much appreciated, also if I need to buy new boots LL bean is my preferred place.

Due to injuries some of us don't have a choice.

I've never tried ski biking, but have occasionally seen it at different ski areas. I've seen a few people that were extremely proficient at it, including last season at Copper Mtn if memory serves me. I don't remember reading or seeing anything about using special boots to do it. My guess is just a good sturdy winter boot would work.

Thanks, I'm hoping it will be temporary but reality is that might be the only way I'm going up a mountain. Time and trying things will tell.

I thought I saw some people with something like ski blades on when using bikes. Not sure if there are different style of bikes where blades are needed for some styles and not others

Powder Ridge in CT has a fleet of ski bike rentals and does lessons on them too if you want to try before you buy into this sport or at least they used to a couple years ago

I'll be trying them lessons, I'll check powder ridge. Loon and Sunapee have sno-go with there adaptive program. Wachusett has bikes but not sure which ones.

They had them at the indoor place in NJ at one point, not sure if they still do. Not a bad place to try things out before heading to a real mountain. It was great teaching my kids to snowboard there so that they didn't have to skip any outdoor skiing days.
