Ski Butternut
Fresh (3-4")with hardpack/Ice underneath
Decided to take my 3.5y out for the 1st time this season. Want to get her out a few more time before our trip to Smuggs at the end of this month for 5 days (She's enrolled at the Smuggs Kids Camp-Skiing) We pulled into the lot at 8am and got first row. Lodges were empty. 1st run we shot straight to the top and took Pied Piper. Shes with leash and tip lock..did great. Conditions were fine, some scrath underneath, but mostly soft. At the end of the run, she wanted a snack, so mom brought her in for a rest and food, I got 4 runs in before meeting back up with them. The "expert" trails there had some great softies on the edges (where i ski normally) the center of the trails were icy and bulletproof. After snack time, we crusied over to the bunny hill, and she really flurished once she saw all the other kids skiing. After 20min the leash was off and she was skiing, stopping, and turning on her own. By 1PM she was shot, so we packed up and went home. Conditions didnt warrent going back up top as the crowds (with hangovers wearing off) were filling in. Great day out on the slopes with the litte one, so satisfying seeing the progression and her love for it!
