Ski Maps and Trails for PDA's?

has anyone ever loaded static trail maps into a PDA? what got me thinking is that Stowe just created one just for the iphone. I think I'll grab it.

What about ski applications? Do any exist? I've never seen any, at least for iphone/itouch.

I'm such a wanderer that I never commit most resort trail systems to memory, it might be handy, not necessarily while skiing.

That's not a bad idea, for those who keep our technology with us while on the slopes. It would be nice if it was gps based to show you where you are (or are not) on the trail system.

There are a couple different apps for the iPhone. Not sure about other PDAs.

Snocator and iskier? I think....Both use GPS.

The snocator looks like the superior product, but it's not fully there with its maps yet, little limited on its Eastern resorts, but apparently growing.

I think I'm going to load the GIF/JPG trail maps into my iTouch for a start, just using the picture facility to view them with.
The resorts that have me unwound are those that only post pdf's.

So I loaded some hi-res gif's into my iTouch today and I'm not pleased. They came in as low-res. I can make out the shapes, but no text. No itouch adjustments seem possible. Bummer.
