after a couple days of inclement weather in town we decided to go up Independence Pass to see what was going on.

the Mrs and our neighbor Tom lead the way to our line.

further down. Sorry no skiing pics. Those guys didn't want to take pictures once we started skiing.

A great morning hike followed by some decent skiing. It was so clear, at one point we counted eleven 14ers.

no really, you are so lucky. my girlfriend is trying like hell to find a job in her field out there in the fall (she is very determined)... college is finally over (51/2 years!!!) for her and at last we have options.

it was sweet, but only a morning. We left the house at 7am and were back by 1130. not bad for backyard skiing!
