I lived in Southeast Ohio for a year and it was ten times as humid as it gets in New England. Sucked and I imagine Kentucky would be worse still.

I was in Louisville a few years back and spent a free afternoon driving around the hill-country of south Indiana. I was surprised when I came upon a small ski area, whose name I can't for the life of me remember, near French Lick, Indiana. The town name I remember because...well, because of the town name and because it's the hometown of Larry Bird.
The ski area looked to be 400-500' vertical.
you stumbled upon paoli peaks ski resort.
You beat me to it...Paoli Peaks. Never went. Lived in Louisville area for five years.
Hot and humid summers and short (but rahter cold) winters.
Dozer....you will be missed. Expect a call Thursday nights from the gang with the race results!
What I remember about winters was a lot of slush, if it snowed ,it soon after rained.
