So, what exactly did he say? :dunce:

"I expect the winter to be a roller coaster ride with some pretty wide swings, but in the end, skiers and riders will conclude that the winter of 2005-2006 turned out just fine."

Time for a Dance...

:snow: :snow: :snow:

I've already concluded that. hasn't been the best, but with 26 days under my belt, can't say it's been bad either.

excellent.

So, what exactly did he say?
negative NAO with blocking, that's all you need to know. :D

my return to skiing is going to be march 5th, this conincidence is freaking me out. my injury seemed to have perfectly timed itself with the last major storm of 2005 and what may well be the first major one of 2006 (fingers crossed). too early to call anything for sure, but it looks like the pattern has finally swung back in our favor.

Glad you are getting better in time for the season. Hopefully it finally be winter again. But we heard at the end of Jan. that Feb through mid-March would stay cold, and then there was the warm-up of last weekend. I'm headed up to SB this weekend and had been looking forward to Castlerock which was somehow staying open despite the poor winter, but that ended after the latest r**n. Hopefully we'll finally have some luck. If nothing else, it has been amusing reading MRG's reports every day.

did you know their bar opens at 11?

Lol. They have had really good humor about the terrible winter we've had since the end of good Dec. Unfortunately I haven't made it to MRG yet this year.

I Skied SB on the 14th. Castle Rock Wasn't too bad but bring your rock skis it's thin. I didn't ski Paradise and RipCord because the triple was down. I think SB rocks but not for $63.00 when it's a bad year. $14 no problem. :)

They closed castlerock last week due to the rain and a dump is the only way they will open it back up :x

Seems to me he's basically saying this weekend's storm may be the last hurrah. Or maybe one more after that.

Bummer.

I don't think they have much of a clue....It would be foolish to try to predict all of march when they have a hard time 3 days out.
