Date(s) Hiked: September 10, 2006
Trails(s) Hiked: Ranger up, AT Down, like last time.
Total Distance: 7.5 miles or so.
Difficulty: Moderate.
Conditions: Excellent visibilty and trail conditions.
Special Required Equipment: None.
Trip Report: I'm catching up here on the hiking reports. We did this mountain again...I brought Ms. TB. She liked the tower and the cabin, but really dug the incredible views from Lambert Ridge towards Cardigan. The colors were beginning to come out...so it was nice. The temps were cool and pleasant....visibility was excellent...all Whites were present and accounted for
We took our time up and down. Talked to some through hikers, including one guy who was hoping to get to Maine ASAP. We also talked with some DOC hikers who were doing Freshman Orientation.
Nice views, nice trip, good times.
