Interesting concept. Almost sounds a little like the snow-coat tarps that Jiminy Peak played around with in the early/mid 80's as a way to preserve early season snowmaking efforts during a thaw, that is until they found out that covering an entire ski slope with a tarp wasn't cost effective from the time/man-power hours involved standpoint.
