This occurred in the Super Condor area on the Alley run, which is the outlet for several runs on the slope below Super Condor. It has been a while since I've skied here, but these are basically different lines through scrub that fall into the Alley area/drainage:

There is no observation/fatality report in the UAC database yet, and the Park Record is reporting that this is "not" avalanche related, but I am having a hard time seeing that (unless it was a treewell incident or perhaps he was injured, lost consciousness, and fell into deep snow and suffocated). If it comes out that this was an in-bound avalanche, no matter what ski patrol does, these can and do happen. :(

There are a few of you out here skiing and riding, either as visitors or as folks living out here. Be careful the next few days as things are very active. There was an avalanche last night in LCC that crossed SR-210 and hit two cars. This resulted in SR-210's closure and an Interlodge.

RIP to the victim and thoughts and prayers to the family.

Treewell? Wondering how deep the pack is there, and new accum. Tree holes are lethal hazards people tend to forget about. Also, official report stated the man had injuries. Thinking tree collision head injury, and/or treehole trapped w subsequent exposure or asphyxiation leading to fatal outcome.
