they are suppose to open on friday :eek: almost feels early for ski season? i dunno, after spending all summer dreaming of snow and jonsing for turns, the ski season has really come up and bit me on the ass!

don't much matter, i don't intend on skiing until december the earliest unless we get a lot of natural snow. i'm not a big fan of early season skiing; particularly after a pretty aweful day at K last year in december no less (although given the weather, i still considered december early season: less than 20 trails).

I say bring it on! I actually prefer to ski before Christmas when the crowds are minimal. This is shaping up to be a really great early ski season. The second half of October has been 10 degreees below normal in most places and the short range forecast calls for more cooler weather into next week:
