I bought a Sliver New England Pass for next year while I was up at Sunday River this weekend. Now it's done and I don't have to think about it anymore.

Hopefully I'll be able to make use of the free skiing after 3/23 this year, but I've got so much stuff going on I don't know if I'll be able to. I'm sure as hell going to try though.

Great. You will be able to ski for quite a while longer this season I would guess. Sorry I missed you. Made Some turns with Michael J on Sat.

One of these times I'll crash the party...

Getting going Saturday morning took some extra time vs. normal because one of our friends came up who had never skied before, so we had to drive him over to South Ridge so that he could do all that he needed to do there, and then my buddy and his girlfriend had dropped their skis off down at Jack Frost for a tune on Friday night, so we had to go grab those. Once we got out, while Chad was still in his intro lesson we skied the half pipe a couple times (first time for that), went over to Aurora for a bit (black hole was a blast), then shot back over to the locke lfit and did the Jim's Whim -> Obsession combo and then hit the white heat chair a couple times... then we went back to get Chad at South Ridge and skied back to Brookside with him... he did really well, only fell twice on tourist trap (one spectacular wipe out on the flattish section just past the spruce lift before you take the right down into barker, and once on the steep part right before Sunday Punch comes in). As we were eating lunch the rain picked up and we decided to bag the afternoon.

I took my boards to the shop at south ridge yesterday morning before i went out. I have used Jack frost a few times this year as well.. Just wanted them done quick before I went out. Ya we made it to 1.45 and then got wet and quit on Sat,

Holy cow! jerry g skiing a lot huh? Overall sounds like a terrific winter in Maine. I do miss sunday river a lot, maybe make a visit around the holidays next year.

I was skiing Wildcat yesterday and on the lift up, I kept thinking of May 5, 2007 -- snoseek, jerryg, BobR and me on the 'Cat. Amazing day. Get over to Maine again, snoseek. If I visit CO, I'll trade you some haddock for a 6-pack of microbrew.

On the pass issue, no question it's the silver New England Pass for me. I have a love affair in Maine and I have to keep it up next year.

I think that my son and I are going to do the Boyne Silver pass again and I am happy that we will be able to ski Loon next season with the pass, not just at a discount.

I was thinking about a Mount snow pass, but I just cannot get myself to ski there more than 2-3 times a year, it's too crowded for my liking.

There's just no comparison to what you can get in Colorado with what you get in the East with pass prices. Passes are sooooo cheap in CO. My buddy out there was complaining about his pass going up 20-30$ to $420-430 (Don't remember) to be able to ski Breck, Abasin, Keystone, 10 days at BC and Vail  I told him that season passes in the Poconos for 1 area are more than that! He's spoiled rotten!
?

That is cheap but my Cannon pass for NH residents was $445 this year.

I own a condo at Killington so I'm hoping that they have some good pricing for next season. With the new owners I have no idea what will happen next, but I just love the different terrain and size of K. Mount Snow has some good pricing, but they just seem so overcrowded on weekends. Must've inherited all the animals that used to go to Killington on the weekends?

I'm also part of the group that owns property at Killington. In the short term, I guess I'm not going anywhere. Other than ripping 2 months off their (formerly) 7 month ski season, I'm pretty happy with the place. It's no longer a zoo on weekends. They make plenty of snow.

When I consider my housing and transportation costs, it really doesn't matter what a season pass costs since it's lost in the noise.

Here's the Season Pass comparison chart I've been keeping over at K-zone.

One more year with just a Wa Century Pass, then in 09-10, I'll start looking around for a 2nd pass, most likely Mt. Snow.

well i looks like next year i will probally get a cheep pass at the MC and some kind of pass at stowe seeing as i am buying some property in the area in the near future. will be the first time in over ten years having a pass there. i do think they are forgeting their local population with their pricing structure.

To my knowledge, provided you still work for a Stowe Area Association business, deals are pretty good. Something like $450 for a midweek pass.

Not my words. Saw it on the K zone. I agree. It you bought a pass last year at K, you probably will again this year.

Pass increase seems to be almost the same as boyne did.

After three season of S-O-S pass, I need some variety. Granted those three areas are great at snowmaking and grooming, but really need more challenge.

Think I'll search out weekday deals and some flex-type deals...
