Dude, NH voted for Kerry 3 elections ago. Pretty sure we voted for Clinton as well but I wasnt of voting age then. Its been a liberal state for a while now.

And if you want to say the slippery slope begins there fine, but youre projecting your fears toward something that doesnt exist currently. The bill exempts Cannon, and there are other bills extending regulation otherwise being heard. Project all you want, but the slippery slope argument is more tea party bs than actual truth.

Dude, We all understand what the bill says. What we are saying is where do you draw the line. This is the slippery slope referred topo. You know some other yahoo is going to come along and submit another bill to get something else for free. It is going to snowball that is all we are saying.

You guys line is next to nill. Get over the rhetoric and look at the bill for what it is.

You could argue slippery slope with any bill in politics.

I read this thread. Some points I agree with. This really is a Nh issue. I really don't care about it though. The beer tax was of interest and so it the proposed hike in the gas tax.

The, we getting more conservative or Liberal is intersting, but politcal in Nature. We are getting more Liberal in my opinion, but some of the revenue generation ideas remain conservative. No income tax is the most obvious one.

Looks like Obama got solid backing from NH but before that it was almost 5050 barely for Kerry and only what Dem before that due to spoiler voting (i.e. Perot):

I'll give you solid Dem in the past two presidential elections but even that still isn't approaching where MA votes.

I wouldn't say I am projecting fears at all. I think you have to build principle on foundation and you can't give individual exceptions whenever a few law makers wine.

Tea Party? You don't know me very well if you lump my argument in with the Tea Party. I am extremely liberal but unlike most of my liberal friends, I am not lock step in party line and I actually consider each individual issue on its merits. My position on this issue has nothing to do with a party, especially not the TP...
