The guy is secured to the cables, but what happens if he falls? Zip-line ride back to the last tower? Ouch.

Secured or not, still impressive. The pic was actually taken from the Whistler side terminal for Peak to Peak, so his zipline ride wouldn't be too long ;)

As it looks like he's standing on the haul rope and balancing himself on the guide/support cables, I wonder if the haul rope was actually moving? If so it's probably an easier way to get to the tower rather than climbing up.

I watched a guy change out one of the between tower haul rope bogey wheels at Jay once. I didn't want to be him.

I bet one of the lines attached to the track ropes is a prussic knot. It would stop him from sliding downhill after a fall.

I heard the haul rope needed to be inspected after a minor problem during testing of the evacuation system. The inspection turned up no problems.

That picture must've been taken from the Blackcomb terminal. Whistler Peak is in the background.
