Just heard that they are replacing the entire deck. They also plan to widen Stinger to accommodate free skiers as well as the park rats. Mixed feelings on that one. Stinger has a lot of character as it is, but I rarely ski it now since the park is there. I told Dotty that we can forgive them if they make it wide enough to seed a few lanes of bumps on it! :) Moguls would actually compliment the park atmosphere quite well.

Do you mean the sun-deck or the lodge deck?

Bummer about the widening of stinger. I imagine they'll probably straighten out the turns a bit too... I agree though, that seeding some bumps would be pretty cool!

Lodge deck. Yup - "widening" likely means "straightening" which sucks if/when they move the park somewhere else. We'll just be left with another Gunny. Bumps would be cool, but I bet the park rats would kill the lines.

Lodge deck.

Cool, should be nice. I didn't think the old deck was in too bad of shape though. If anything the sun-deck is starting to show it's age. I guess there's not much point in fixing that up until it's about to fall down though...
