Couldn't help myself, I'm partial to the Burnt Orange. & now I see ctenidae grew up in Arkansas - Yikes.

No Loyalties to the Sooner's, just went there for a degree. The desolateness of the area made it easier to concentrate on the task at hand!

The food's like any other crappy fast-food joint. There niche is that it's like an old A&W drive in where you park and babes on roller skates serve you. It's more the social scene, specially in college towns! Use to be one of the places to go when I was at Oklahoma University.
Yo u nailed it. People don't go there for the food. Ditto Hooters. And you're lying if you say you do!

Hey, Hooter's actually does have some decent wings! Or atleast that's what I keep telling myself + friends as I'm ordering "50, hot, naked and crispy" with a smile on my face ;)

I'll second the notion that Hooters has very good wings.

Oddly, you go to Florida and most of the Hooters down there have a fair amount of families dining in them. Here in the 'liberal' north east, whenever a permit proposal is submitted for a Hooters, you'd think a strip club was opening up. At least that was the case in Portland, ME when someone wanted to open one.

U Spent any time in Buffalo? I spent 2 years living and working in Buffalo. I ate wings for Lunch and Dinner. Every work day. I've been complainin' about how nobody outside of Western NYS has mastered the recipe, including the so-called "original recipes." A couple of places came close, but still no cigar...

Same thing with Pizza in New England. Just doesn't compare to NYC area. I hear there are a couple of good pie places in New Haven, but that's about it.

Spent 22 years in WNY. Only time I eat wings is when I visit my family.

Still prefer WNY pizza, too. Sorta halfway between NYC and Chicago.

Pepe's and Sally's make worthy pie's by most any pizza afficienado's standards. haven't tried the "new" Pepe's yet that just recently opened up in The Mohegan Sun Casino

If I have enough pitcher's of beer(ice cold schwag is my wing beer of choice ;) ) to accompany my occasional wing craving, most any wing will pass the taste bud test

The best wings on the planet are in New York, but not Buffalo.

only fine dining restaurant I've ever seen them on the menu and they deliver. I'm not even a wing guy, but I will make it a point to go back there the next time I'm in NYC.

that's what I always thought

Nope

Get a classically trained French Chef to cook wings? Beats the Milwaukee's best guzzling high school drop out every time.
