I'm making a trip to southern VT this weekend with my terminally intermediate, non-ski-owning brother. We haven't finalized our plans other than to do one day at Stratton with our cell phone freebies.
We'll probably do either Mt Snow or Okemo the other day (Sunday). Can anyone reccomend a decent shop for him to rent equipment for two days, preferrably being able to cop the goods on Friday evening, in either Bennington, Manchester or Londonderry? I'm hoping to avoid having to do the rental shop thing two mornings in a row.

i think the only game in town is Sports Odyssey on Route 100 on the way to Mt snow.

There's another one on 100 as well. Just a bit South of Sports Odyssey, It's got a big blue awning over the front door and two wooden carved bears out front.

Edit: There's another place on 100 as well. I'd say it's about a 1/4 mile up 100 after you take the right off of 9West. It's an A Frame building the guys must be big into KTMs because they always have an orange KTM flag flying. Around Halloween, the had a rider in a Honda jersey partially burried as a decoration on the front lawn. LOL!

we were up to mt snow for prez day and did a 2 day rental for my daughter - her first time out since her acl surgery and she was apprehensive about boarding so we rented skis to see which felt better. anyway the place was on 100 right next to the silo - don't remember the name but it was like $20 the first day and $10 each additional day. they also had some nice elan demo's for a few $ more

You might call the Sports Oddessy and ask if you could rent at the Mt Snow store and return the skis at the Ludlow store which is on Rt 103 after skiing Okemo on Sunday. I seem to remember someone telling me they did this.

That's Alpine Trader next to The Silo.

The great outdoors RT 100 across from police dept. would be my first choice
World class rt 100 across from 7/11
Alpine traders rt 100 next to silo and Alpine rentals rt 100 wilmington same owners use traders for better gear rentals just beginner stuff
Sports oddessy shop in dover is not up to par (unlike the okemo store) but it is on rt 100 just south of the police dept.
