Resort or Ski Area: Sugarbush – Lincoln Peak
Conditions: Mostly sunny, temps in the mid teens. Powder, packed powder
Trip report:
Midweek storm dropped 21” of snow on Sugarbush that packed in nicely. Surprise was waking up to 7” of fresh powder on Saturday morning with cold temps, blue skies and no wind. Morning was spent with a warm up through Eden followed by a run down the Mall. The Mall was the run of the day as it was boot top to knee deep in fresh powder on every turn. Moonshine and Twist also offered up deep new snow and soft bumps. Took a ride up Bravo chair and wound our way through some woods off Domino on our way to Heavens Gate chair. Paradise was outstanding but the best run off Heavens gate was Spillsville which had phenomenal cover with dramatically less traffic than Paradise. Did the Jester, Valley House traverse to Steins before a well deserved lunch break. Afternoon was spent up on the North Lynx trio of Birch Run, Morning Star and Sunrise. Mountain was very busy on Saturday but with all the lifts open and plenty of woods options there were never any significant lines. Lots of smiling faces and spent skiers at the end of the day which ranks as one of the best of the season.
