Resort or Ski Area: Sugarbush, VT

Conditions: PP, Scraped, other variables; upper 20s, light snow late day becoming heavier towards closing

Trip Report:

Headed over to the Bush after class and was on Downspout by 1:15. Downspout wasn't too bad... some real nice areas and a couple scraped off areas, but overall better than it usually is mid season. A few random bump lines as well. Jester was skied off in the turns but the straight shots were nice. Didn't realize how long of a run Jester-Downspout is. Pretty good to lap for a while. Ended up being the last to download at 3:30. Wind kicked up on Heaven's Gate the last ride up... last 2 minutes were agony. Reminded me of Overall, a nice afternoon to get out. Burke opens Saturday and I should be able to get 4-5 days in before I head home for Christmas. Wachusett will be open by then so I'm good to go now.

Ride back to LSC was awful. Route 2 was a shit show, especially on one hill west of Danville that had about 3 cars off the road and traffic stopped. When we went to get going again my car didn't want to climb the hill so 4 firemen had to push me up. The entire route to St. J was a sheet of ice. 91 wasn't much better. Even almost got stuck trying to get up College Road. Nasty little snow squall out there.

Ahhhh. LSC, I went there for a year and a half and flunked out because I was at Jay every day skipping class.
