I've always started at Linclon, did bunch of warm up laps, hit CastleRock then work my way over to ME, then head back at the end of the day...I've only been there 2 times (both end of March/early April), so I'm sure there might be a better way to hit it

What type of terrain do you like to ski?

If you're looking for the complete resort experience, start out with Lincoln Peak and get a feel for that end of it.

But if you're looking for a relaxing lift-line-free day, head to Mt. Ellen. Many folks would argue with me, but if you explore and get to know Mt. Ellen, you can easily find just as much variety and challenge as you can at Lincoln Peak. It's a bit more laid back, and a bit more rustic. It's the "big ski area" experience vs. the "ski resort" experience, with Mt. Ellen being a big "ski area" and Lincoln Peak being a "ski resort."

But you should really check out both mountains. They both have incredible terrain, and their own individual unique properties that make them what they are. The great thing about the Bush is that it's like getting two complete ski areas for the price of one.

I'm certain you'll have fun regardless of where you ski at the Bush.

Depends on what you want and when you go (midweek vs. weekend). For weekdays, I'd suggest LP since there is more variety and amenities. For weekends, assuming that Slide Brook is open, ME is less crowded and offers more terrain that will be in better shape. I'd take a run or two there and then ride SB over to LP for the morning, then enjoy the uncrowded terrain at 'Ellen in the afternoon....but that also depends on what you like to ski....

most all of it. Depending on conditions, I'm comfortable hitting every type of terrain the mtn offers. lol, that proibably doesnt answer your question. how often is the lift open that connects the 2?

I guess it's tough to pick a favorite type of terrain. But I do ski steeps, grromers & bumps more than glades.

The Slidebrook lift only runs on weekends and holidays - check ahead as there are days when it will not run due to snowpack and temperature. Alternate is a bus ride between the two Mt Ellen and Lincoln Peak.

Mad Bus is free, and is about a 7-12 minute ride between the hills, depending on traffic and weather. It leaves Lincoln Peak base area every half hour (on the hour and on the :30), and leaves Mt. Ellen base every half hour (on the :15 and the :45).
