I can certainly wait on 70*+. Honestly, if it hits 70, I'll probably call it a day. Not sure if you have ever skied on snow truly baking... but it is not good skiing, especially if it is getting mashed to death by multiple skiers. I have had very few experiences with this type of snow but I distinctly remember East Snowfields last year on the T4T slackfest and I stopped not due to fatigue but due to the snow being completely unsolidified (okay, partially fatigue after 5 runs  but I could have kept going if conditions were good). Icky.

Well, it approached 70 last year I was up there at this time and Ripcord was awesome. Soft mush bumps which for a hack bumper like me is heaven. Just let them run and explode!

Even I will 100% completely disagree with the sentiment that spring corn and epic do not go hand and hand. However, 70s is likely not to be truly epic because the snow will turn into something worse than what people generally call "mashed potatoes".

on steep pitches..70-something degree weather can lead to a really nice surface..I think back to April 19th 2008 at Killington when I skied with AllSkiing and MadSkier...madmade snow holds up to the warm spring weather alot better than spring snow..

Site says 10 am. Heaven's Gate till 4, Bravo till 5.

That's for Sunday, or for during the week? Just trying to plan out when I should be leaving the city, getting enough sleep, etc. Also, if it opens at 9am, would you move up the meeting time to something earlier than 11am? Given the warm forecast, we probably don't need to wait for the snow to soften up...morning might even be better.

If you want, I'll PM my cell. I get good coverage up there. I'd be happy to meet up with you whenever. Most of the rest of the crew, I can identify. I suspect most will beeline to Heaven's Gate so we should be able to spot folks over there.

Yeah I'll be there...but I expect to be on video!!!

My arm twisting reaches far and wide.

You will not only be on video, but you might very well be the star! ;) Seriously, chalk it up to morbid curiosity, but I'm looking forward to meeting you. :)

Sounds cool, thanks. I'll PM you with my cell. I get reception on the mountain now that they added Verizon coverage. I figure that AZ people will be a good % of the total skiers based on the number of people planning to go. Chances are I can ask a random person and he/she'll be from AZ :)

On the weekend Bravo will be spinning at 9AM - 5PM, I think HG is 10-4. You better start early. I have already warned the ticket office. Rumor has it the Killington Refugee herd will be up on Sat. some maybe on Sunday, we don't want any trouble.  I was told the Detonators will be playing in the plaza on Sat, should be a fun party. You guys will have to do your own singing on Sunday.

I'm with you Severine...2 kids that are done for the season. No way, no how was the response from them about going. And no one to watch them. Will probably still send the husband and the 1 willing kid. They are thinking of going Saturday due to the long ride back Sunday night and school/work the next morning.

We should probably meet up next season and swap child duties! You seem to sit out a quite a bit (as least it seems that way from 'out here').
Absolutely! I got out more than last year, but I would have liked to get a few more days in this season. Not sure what my opportunities will be next year with school and all, but I'll take what I can get. :)

Its GTG's like this that make me wish I lived closer to you all. :(
You have that nice RV. ;)
