We hit Vermont last week and were lucky enough to have very good weather. Monday was the only day that wasn't calm. It was windy with low clouds, causing some visibilty issues. We were at Sugarbush that day, starting at Mt. Ellen then hitting Lincoln Peak after lunch. The GMX and the North Ridge lift both took you up into the soup. The Super Bravo and Gatehouse lifts were much better staying below the clouds. Packed powder was prevalant, like iit would be all week. I did manage a first ever run down Lower FIS, a very cool run.
Went back the next day to much calmer winds and partly cloudy skies. What a day that was! My adventure that day was down Paradise. A little over my head but I made it down. Beautiful setting.
The weather was even better Friday. Mostly sunny with the clearest skies I've seen in New England. The views to the Adirondacks and back to the Whites were breathtaking. They groomed Rip Cord and Murphy's and the conditions were excellent. All the cruising trails were in the same shape.

Hit Jay for the first time ever Wednesday. What a place that is! It was a little busy with Quebec's spring break, but not too bad. Had a great time exploring, though I'm not much of a tree skier, I did goof around in an easy blue glade.

Thursday was our first time at Smugg's. We were blown away again by the beauty of the whole area. The in your face views of Stowe we something else. Long, interesting trails with some steeps here and there were right up our alley. The slow, tight lifts take you back a few years that's for sure. What a cool place!

Looks like all that snow has set New England up for several weeks to come. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the ski season!
