Resort or Ski Area: Sugarloaf, ME.

Conditions: PP/FG

Trip Report: Had to get out again into the beautiful March weather. For all the here & there melting that has gone on, conditions are still pretty nice. I'm still in the patching up of rusty short-radius skills..mode, so skiing with the crowds(that weren't that bad) was fine...although at the lower base lifts, lines seemed to be a good 15min wait. Did Hayburner, Timberline, and Double Bitter 8) the most.
My *middle of the road* Elan S10s are fun, soft in the tips & tails, but have nice livliness underneath....just at a medium speed. Kudos for the functionality of a new TNF light shell...as the softshells are, so much more comfortable than the cold-weather hardshell.
Didn't get to the backside, but jeez...at this time of year, you really do want to hike it...somewhere...but my boots don't want to  ...and they would Not be that comfortable in a hike without walk-mode. New boots in the Fall!! :D
Anyone still with time to drive...conditions still are nice.

your are lucky you didnt do the backside, i did it 3 weeks ago and it was horrible and they have only got a ft of snow since then and it probably blew away. One spot was so rocky i had to sidestep down or i would have destoyed my skis. I have no idea why it is open :-?
