Trip Report: Fast, Firm and Fun at Sugarloaf this weekend.
Lame report - no pics. Nothing really to capture cause everything was mowed flat. HOWEVER - SL put out a great product this weekend. Most of the open groomed trails held edgeable snow all day.
It was a great weekend to work on the carve technique. It was needed since I am thrashing in the bumps and woods most of the time. Boy #2 was up with his middle school race team for some training, so it was a good opportunity to rip some groomers.
If I had to pick some favorite trials, Kings Landing off the Quad, Scoot off Bucksaw and Lower Gondi were a lot of fun.
Lifts lines were miserable most of the weekend - especially Sunday Morning when everything was on wind-hold except for the SQ, but we lapped Bucksaw a lot and after 2pm on Sunday, It cleared out and I was able to get 6 runs it to finish it off right.
They were doing a lot of work on the spillway chair. Hopefully they get that running soon. It really is putting pressure on the uphill capacity.
Now lets get some snow!
