Resort or Ski Area: Sunapee, the mountain.

Conditions: A little bumpy

Trip Report: Snow day once again, so the kids were home. Snuck out for the 2-4 shift. The GoPro really doesn't seem to work very well for getting shots of anyone else, but I managed to get a little of my "friend" swizzling on chick skis. 98mm underfoot, 177cm with early rise so they ski like my 10 year old daughter's skis.

(Sunbowl never opened today, so could be good tomorrow, depending on type of precip overnight. Summit lift went on hold right when I got there.)

Does the GoPro detach from the helmet easily and have a decent view finder for 'regular' filming? Love your POV stuff, just curious about versatility.

It would be kind of cool to have a 'remote' view finder and control. Something that you could keep on an inside pocket of your jacket to use while leaving the camera mounted on your helmet.

No mixing while I was there. Just went outside to check and unfortunately there is a very light precip coming down. There is a small crust starting to form on the snow. Boo! Any untracked could be tricky tomorrow.

It detaches easily. I still have a hard time getting it in the clip without taking off my helmet though. No view finder on the camera, but they are supposed to be coming out with an "LCD BacPac for on-camera preview and playback". Of course it's not available yet.

I'm a GoPro ho. I love this thing. It looks silly, but takes some quality footage.

I just got mine last week and have shot two days this weekend. I used the head lamp style strap because I'm scared that the double sided tape mount is not secure enough to take a whack from a branch in the trees.
Agreed that some sort of on mountain playback option would be nice, for the most part my footage came out ok but some clips are focused a little higher then I would have liked.
