Date(s) Skied: 1/3/12

Resort or Ski Area: Mt. Sunapee

Conditions: Firm

Trip Report: Have been up a few times just to get some turns in. They have been doing their best, but........

The Middle School's winter activities were scheduled to start today, but cold weather led to them being cancelled. Elementary School groups are scheduled to start Friday. Hard and fast conditions + limited terrain + lots of kids =.

Good to see that North Peak is getting some snowmaking love...but Liftline looks thin.

I have some SkiNH passes to use to Sunapee or Loon...do you think it will be worthwhile at Sunapee this weekend or should we wait?

zero snow in central NH. That is what it looked like at Gunstock today.

Same conditions as well, super hard and fast. Not my preferred conditions, but pretty fun on my new Fischer Motives, which held fantastic.

Their website is saying 11 more trails by the weekend, so that should help spread out the crowds. They've got some features built in the terrain park, way too firm for my taste, but it gives the kids something to do .

If you are only planning on hitting it once or twice during the season, I would wait until conditions improve. Of course, with some nice weather, it could still be a great day on the hill.

And yes, that is the Sunbowl. Hard to believe they have received almost three feet of snow this season. Barely a flake left where they aren't blowing snow.
