Conditions: PP-frozen granular mix, cloudy, low 30's, light wind
First TR here. First time out for the year, skiing with a buddy that has not skied in 15 years. I feel pretty good about my choice of Sunapee, since the conditions were generally very good, they must have groomed everything after the rain as it skiied nicely overall. We went from noon-3 and a couple of runs in the Sunbowl area were starting to form thick mounds here and there, but we had a blast.
As a lower intermediate skier, I loved the go-anywhere layout of blues at Sunapee. Crowds weren't too bad despite a NH resident afternoon discount, everything disperses well there it seems, 10 minutes max on the Sunapee Express and the Sunbowl lift was ski-on. The Ridge trail was a great way to get my legs under me and my buddy to get his confidence back, started and ended there. That trail also had the best snow overall, even for our last run.
