Area skied: Sunday River M.E.

Date skied: December 17th, 2006 from 8am-12pm.

Surface conditions: machine groomed, granular, wet packed.

My son and I meet up with Bob R and Terry at the Sunday River Express and I skied Lazy River and American Express with them before we got seperated when I had to check on my son.

Snowmaking was very limited last night but did happen on Ameican Express with 2-4" of snow being laid down.

Bob, Terry and I cut first tracks down American Express and the turns where nice and the soft snow was fun to ski.

I skied Sirius-Aludra-Lights with Warren, and then I took three more laps down American Express which by 11:00am had developed some moguls that where soft and springlike.

Today was much less crowded than yesterday and liftlines where short to nonexistent and I think that fewer skiers/riders than normal are out due to the warm weather. All in all it was a fun weekend despite less than ideal snow and weather conditions.

It was nice to meet you Loafer89. Had a good day overall. Skied till about 11:15 or so. Hit everything that was open except monday morning- it looked pretty thin. Bob and I skied with loafer, then we met up with Ga2ski and made some runs with him. We also met up with Gamway from the SR board and made a couple runs with him. Then on the last run, we met up with a friend of mine, George. I think that right stuff was the best run of the day. Good snow, and bumped up a bit! After that, a beer at barker, and a beer in the lot tasted pretty good. Not a bad day considering the weather we are having. Hopefully we are in for a cold spell, and some snow. :snow: It also worked out good cause I got home in time to finnish my painting in the front hall. Got to keep peace at home!

It was nice to have meet you to and I wish that I could have skied with you for a bit longer but I had to look out for my son.

I liked American Express best, that first run was nice and soft compared to the rest of the mountain.

Hopefully we can meet again sometime as we plan to ski quite a bit in Maine now that we live closer.

Had a great day. Saw Ga2ski JR take a run with Dad cool. We also saw Susan D of SR in the line for a quick Chat. Had a good outing. Right Stuff was the best run of the day. Nice to see Loafer89 again.... Been at least a year plus. Terry is always around to ski with and fun to hang with. Gamway73 (yawmag) here I think was out making fast turns as well. I think most of us were beat early. Backintoit I hope J is feelign better.
