Resort or Ski Area: Sunday River
Conditions: HARD pack
Trip Report: Got out for about four hours with BVibert, deadheadskier, and JimG. Severine was out earlier too, but I missed her.
Conditions are pretty uniform hard pack across the mountain. Slightly better on the outer peaks (White Cap & Jordan (Lolla anyway)). Appears that temps must have plummeted during grooming last night. Some of the cord is frozen SOLID (still a lot of it out there at 3:00 when I came back in).
Escapade seemed to have the best snow out of anywhere (maybe they waited until the last minute to groom that?)
Obsession was fun and had some good pockets of softish snow ( once you got past the very top).
Skiers left of Lollapalooza was also softish... but not great.
Had fun skiing with some new people though.
Will pull a few pics from my camera and post them shortly.
Decompressing a bit before climbing back in the car and heading over to the 'Loaf!
