So I'm going to be at Sunday River on Sat, no matter what the weather is like.

Anybody have tips to ski on a windy day? What lift is the most wind resistant that serves the most advanced terrain? The mountain is big enough were I'm afraid I could spend 2 hours traversing just trying to find a sheltered fixed grip that services the terrain I'm interested in.

On Saturdays at Sunday River, I spend most of my time at either Aurora or Whitecap. Aurora is the more wind sheltered of the two. Both tend to see less traffic both on the lifts and on the trails than other locations of the mountain.

If you are driving in, I find Whitecap to be the best parking set up on the mountain. Closest parking and relatively level walk from car to lodge.

If you have your ticket I find the best parking setup is Barker Mtn road.Park next to the Roadrunner trail and slide on down to White Cap.
