Sunday River - Friday 3/31and Saturday 4/1
Friday was one awesome day. Soft snow from the start. We started the day with a huge breakfast from Crossroads in Bethel(The Long Road - 2 egg, toast, sausage, 2 huge pancakes, and homefries). Anyway we loaded the lift just after 9:00 and headed out towards Jordan. By 10, I was shedding layers and down to a very thin long sleeve wicking shirt. i would have been in shorts and a t-shirt but I know have happens we you fall in shorts and t-shirt. We skied Jordan all the way back to White Heat. It was typically spring weather with corn and the occasional bare spot, but overall very good coverage.
Saturday was Bust-N-Burn/Parrothead. Rained from 8:00 til 9:30 then the sun came out until about 2:30 when the downpours rolled in. I only skied Tempest all day as I was competing in Bust-N-Burn and watching friends compete. Well I finished the Bust-N-Burn course in one piece on my teles and in my Tigger Suit.
At 3:00 in the rain it was time for the annual tradition - POND SKIMMING. I didn't make it across - - what fun is it to make it across. (Sorry I don't have pictures, but if you do i would love to see them.
HERE are some picture of Dave Pecunies (RSN TV director) and me in the Bust-N-Burn Mogul contest.
