Hey guys, so I just checked the trip reports and didnt see anything recent for sunday river. I am heading up there friday for a weekend ski trip (last one of the season!) and was wondering what the conditions are like. I know they still have a deep base, but I want to know how "spring" it is. Not that it will change whether or not I go, just wanna know. lol. I can't wait though, haven't been to the River since December!

Plenty of snow, but they started to shut down lifts cause of lack of crowds. Base is decent. I don't write many trip reports, but I have been every weekend since last Nov. Worth the trip.

Look for southridge, locke, barker, spruce and north peak. The Little white cap chair will be open, but only gets you out ot the hotel, nothing other than that small section. not sure if they will open tempest back up for the weekend.

Many SR message board members meet at Barker on the deck around 11.30. Quite a few cross posters from here. If you show up and see a bunch of us together it will be obvious its us. If its bumps do agony if its just cruise try Monday Morning and Sunday punch.

Today's report
We're looking at sunny skies with temps in the low 50s at the base and in the high 30s at the summits. The weather outlook for the week has a lot of sunshine in it so plan to come and take advantage. Bring the sunblock!

We're heading into our late season operational schedule, so head for your favorite trails on Barker, Locke, North Peak, South Ridge and Spruce! We'll be starting things off at 9 a.m. on 84 trails and 5 lifts. Our groomers were out putting their special touch on over 60 trails so you can enjoy the corduroy! Ungroomed terrain may open late, to let the spring sun soften them up.

The Superpipe was cut on Sunday so it'll be riding great all week.

Get your '08/'09 New England Pass early for extra perks. Current pass holders who renew or upgrade a Silver or Gold pass get $50 off an 08/09 pass good at Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Loon. First-time buyers are able to use their 08/09 passes to hit the slopes now.

Have a '07/'08 season pass to another mountain? This week you can ski or ride for just $39 through the end of the season.

See ya on the slopes!

I was up there last Sunday. Conditions and snow cover is February-like. Jordan, OZ and Aurora (which will probably be closed next weekend) were actually frozen solid. White Cap, Spruce, Barker, North Peak and South Ridge skied very well with some nice corn-ing in the afternoon when the sun came out. It was actually snowing most of the day on Sunday. Definitely worth the trrip this weekend.
