Resort Sunday River
Date Skied Fed 4th
Conditions, Firm at 8 soft 9 ish fantastic wet packed powder(spring condtions)
Temps mid 30's upon arrival mid 40's close to 50 at the base most of the day.
I tried to combine a Sunday River Board group with a few of us. Terry and his Bride Tammy, Ga2ski and his Dad, Thaller1 and Hubby (walter), Backintoit and myself were the AZ/Sr cross overs in attendance.
Got to give props to the Sr folk they show up and have fun. T Tofer and skiis right and left, and a few of my non board friends all hung out skied. We had a blast.
This was about community not really the skiing.
ow ya the turns were great.
Real firm to start on Barker. Aurora was closed as they groomed and waited for it to soften up. This place really cares about the patrons. They got everything groomed quickly and took great care of us.
We worked our way over to Jordan and cruised a bit as well. The snow was just so soft and the sunny skies made it feel like spring skiing. We just had more snow than April. We did a pretty good job keeping a group that size together.
A few us went and hung out on the barker deck and watched the King of the mountain challenge. Oz would have like this day. How was the drive.
I hope Thaller1 and Walter enjoy the trip to Utah. A main topic of conversation and envy. Does she ever work?
The day was just great. Rogue angel was the most enjoyable run.
