About as good as could be expected under the circumstances. Variable-- sugar piles on "real hardpack" on the flatter stuff, some loose granular on gunny and lower noreaster, some more sugar (lighter) on stinger. No real glacier stuff. Gunny was rotd, temptor was not bulletproof by any means, edgeable but the bumps are way funky, couldn't really find a line at all-- seems as if they have "moved" and filled a bit. It will be an interesting comp if some decent lines aren't skied in Friday/sat am. The seeded bump naysayers should thrive.

so even the right side was funky? although i would give you credit for skiing that at night as its kind of a black hole over there.

sullivan and his "it's not light skiing, it's night skiing" philosophy....

The far right line is still good with the shift near the kicker. The kicker is left of it though so I think most people will ski the second line in from the right. Below the kicker, there are several lines down. The left line is non-existent really. We'll see what shapes up by Saturday.

I thought far right was still okay, but did require one correction that I did not recall (but I had lately been on second right and far as of late) The second line in from the right was not as clean as before, IMO, but that line always required a shift/double turn around/below where the kicker is now. Left line is gone. I recall looking up from the bottom and thinking everything had migrated a bit...it may have been the shadows though... They really need to replace the bottom three lights on temptor, it was quite dark, and the lights at the bottom of Ex as well.

As far as lights go; I can tell you that they have been putting a lot of work into getting the lights fixed, there's just been an unprecedented amount of problems this year. I'm told they were all working prior to the season, but snowmaking can do a number on tree branches which then take down lines. This past weekend they had a bunch of guys trimming back branches so that more lines could be fixed.
