Was gonna bag it because the weather looked real iffy.. I was just about to get it on with the GF when Greg called and told me the moguls were starting to get good. Left the GF hanging and left for the institution. Got there around 2:15 Gunny bumps were soft corn snow! Greg and company did a good job stomping the irregular ones. Some nice clean lines are there to be ripped! I did tweak out my back on my first run (should have banged the ole lady before I left to stretch it out) Anyways..Ishovelsnow...Luke,..Madroch..and Greg were tearing it up! Turned out to be a great day!! Should be great tonight! Will be back tomorrow!!

Sorry I missed ya, I dipped in and out of the group all morning....as I am only a lowly snowboarder :) I cannot take the constant punishment my lack of ability in the bumps can dish out...LOL Glad you made it out though.

Surprisingly good day today... but short. Glad I went. With so few days left locally decided I can't be picky... and my option was work, unlike Steveo's. First time this season on skis for 3 days in a row (plus a morning gym workout I should have skipped in hindsight) and I didn't have a lot. Good day to take it easy and try to ski in some lines. Hoping day 4 in a row will find the legs a little livlier. Pumped for tomorrow.

Steve-O kinda had a Barry White voice going on when I called. Creepy and funny all at the same time. ;)

That was the right mode of thinking. I skipped out of work for a day just like this a few years back, first gunny season, I think. We're firmly into the corn cycle, and the bumps will soften.....eventually.

They never got mushy, but cornular bumps is pretty good description. I had my fair share of (almost) slush explosion face shots. I spent a good hour plus skipping runs and just stomping bumps. Each time I looked up I was amazed how much better it looked. The saber tooth shark moguls are almost all gone. The plan tomorrow is to take care of the rest of them if I get there before complete softening.

There is a total legit maneater line right down the middle. Very cool that the top third of it is a natural skier line that feeds right into the seeded line perfectly. So much so that the transition is now hard to detect. We need a few more right and left of that. Looking forward to jumps going in tomorrow, and some sun and soft snow. Gonna pack some beers for stashing on The Horm. I'll be there anywhere beteen 10:30 and 11:30 am depending on warmth and sunlight. Will ski till legs give out, which going on day 4 in a row will probably be quick.

Sunday closing would not surprise me at all. In line with last year. Saw you out there today Cory. We were out of sync all day.

Nice and no worries. The holes opening up are just all part of the experience.
