O.K. This is a question to all you Sundown fanatics. Should I go for powder Sat. 12/20/08 or will it be all groomed away. Due to family circumstances this year I am not anticipating being able to get away for my usual Vt. powder fests, so I'll need to take advantage of any snow locally.

So. Should I stay (home) or should I go (to Sundown)?

Do you ski bumps? The bumps should be sweet tomorrow.

Any time there's an opportunity to ski, personally, I take it. The conditions should be pretty decent tomorrow; and the weekends aren't usually crowded until after Christmas, so that's a bonus.

I am not sure if they will groom all of it or not. IIRC last year they would leave some of the trails ungroomed after snowing.

Either way I should be there.

Our grooming policy for after a snow fall is to leave steeper terrain un-groomed when ever possible. Variables in that policy are, the type of snow that fell and when the snow stopped. We are open till 10:00pm, if the snow stops before we close and the place is beat from skier traffic then, we would likely groom more than I would like to.
Race events also play in to the decision to groom or not to groom.
Good natural snow in CT is not that common, so, when we get it we like to let people experience it. Believe it or not there are people that freak out when we don’t groom. I don’t understand them but they do exist.
