Some folks here have shared pictures of renovations they've done. I thought I'd share something that is kind of cool.

My son(s) and my husband have been doing the finish work on a modular home. They don't do any interior work during the summer. Two summers ago, they did all the siding. (It was was dropped on the site unfinished.)

We're down to one son who's still in NE, and he now coaches at Loon, so ski season is no longer an option. (Two years ago it was ski one weekend day, work on the house the other day.) As you can imagine, it's slow going, but they love it.

This fall's project has been to finish the cathedral ceiling in the living room. They haven't gotten to molding yet, but the lion's share of the work is done.

It's a little bit nicer than the trailer it replaced. ; )

Nice. Knocking out ski season and summer for interior work would tend to extend the project timeline a bit.

I always feel badly when people ask, "Is the house finished (yet)?" It's kind of hard not to laugh.

The "kids" (20-somethings) sleep upstairs. It's wide open and completely unfinished. There are a couple of sets of bunks, a queen and a twin bed, plus a couch and a chair. They don't seem to mind.

The first floor had two finished bathrooms and bedrooms when we moved in on Memorial Day weekend of '08. The kitchen was mostly finished, but there was a mini-celebration a month ago when we put knobs on the drawers and cabinets.

The dining room/living room was completely unfinished, as in we were living with studs and plywood on the floor. Winter of '08-'09 sheetrock was hung; painted last winter. You can see that they're now doing the ceiling. Floor will be next and hopefully countertops.

That will mean we'll have one floor out of three finished. ; )

That looks good. I'd like to do that to our A-Frame in VT. Right now, it's just some older paneling that's been nailed between the joists. I'd like to add more insulation, then add the wood over the joists. Maybe some day.

My remodel was done with green pieces of paper earned from sweating elsewhere.

That's a great line. He enjoys doing this kind of work. And that's a really good thing 'cause the sweating elsewhere ain't generating enough of that green paper to do this kind of stuff.
