Resort or Ski Area: Tenney Mtn., NH

Conditions: Powder :D , Packed Powder

Trip Report: Got in a good short day at Tenney. Lazily arrived at about 10 AM to some light snow which became a full-blown snow squall at around noon. This snow combined with the several inches they just got the night before made for plenty of powder for everyone...

Not that many trails were open, and a few of the open trails were being used for races, so there weren't that many ways down. It didn't matter, since the snow squalls and wind were a bit tough to take on the slooowww double to the summit.

My run of the day was on a cutover trail between the summit and the area where the triple is. The cover was thin in a few spots, but it was powder the whole way. I can't ski in powder all that well but it didn't matter -- it was just fun.

I really liked the trail layout at Tenney -- plenty of good intermediate trails and no wide straight boulevards. The place is in serious need of some infrastructure updates, though...the double to the summit really needs to be replaced with something faster.

Yes, 10e has some great intermediate stuff. Narrow and entertaining, but not much pitch overall. They need some good management and good infrastructure improvements.
