My family lives real close so we can enjoy the traditional deal and then go do our own things later at night. Funny thing is for the last 6 years I have always worked Thanksgiving night at Dennys. I love it its hilarious...

People say..."who would eat at a Denny's on thanksgiving especially after Dinner time"..The answer..

We will do 75 to 100 counts per hour between the hours of 6pm and 4am because all the Canadian women drive down to Syracuse to shop the Destiny USA mall for Black Friday. They come in droans! I mean in herds! massive. Our restaurant sits just off 81, 5 minutes from the third biggest mall in the country and hotels all around us...Its insane. Every car is Ontario lol.....All women....(I have a special spot for Canadian women lol).

Its been a madhouse for years but they all appreciate we are the only ones open for food like that so they are patient.

We even got Rescue Mission to put a huge metal donation box outside for the 24 hours they are here. What the Women do is when they are done shopping, they put on a new outfit (because customs cannot tax you on the clothes you have on) and donate their old clothes they were wearing lol....

Fleeing! I'm Headed to Bogota on Tuesday to see my HS Jr girl who is spending the school year. Haven't seen her since July 2. Taking her BFF with me (her SR ski buddy). She's staying with my husbands family and they are planning a big Colombian "thanksgiving" feast for us. Hoping for Tamales, whatever it is, the food there is awesome. My girl is begging me to bring homemade pies, they don't have them there. See if I can manage that. Loaded up with Maine maple syrup, sold for big $ in black market there lol. Very excited.

Sounds awesome SkiFanE. What a great experience for your daughter and obviously you too now that you're heading down there.
