Yes, if they need to pound ShowOff for races (300 line) then it would make sense to hit Carumba/Lower Red line (400 line) as alternative. Ideally you'd do Lower Carpet, but that is too much real estate to cover by next weekend given its not 24/7 snowmaking temps this week. Once ShowOff done, Hocus Pocus (300 line) is next logical run as its 1) green 2) has some snow 3) is not overly long or steep.

The alternative is using 400 for Trick (which will take lots of time), 300 for ShowOff, and then thereafter 300 for Hocus Pocus as alternate to ShowOff during race. This assumers they believe they have the window to do that before next weekend.

Must say adding Trick adds a lot IMHO.

Now, what about some of the white stuff actually falling from the sky?

Now that the pond feed is larger I would say my priority if that was my hill would be to replace that smaller pump (assuming there is not room for a third pump) with another 400 horse to match the larger one and use a common manifold. Valve the current 300 and 400 lines as separate uplines off this shared header. Then they have redundancy and more volume for either or both lines. I don't know of any other area that still has a setup with a dedicated pump per line. Getting rid of this would allow for a ton of flexibility.

Looks like they're on the Trick+TTW plan, and they're still beefing up Showoff.

Upper Trick plus TTW frees up the portable fleet pretty effectively, for Showoff or otherwise...

It is UMC going to the left before Medium and then on down. The middle part connects to the Trick. These will be a nice way down as otherwise things are rather firm. I saw the dreaded girlfriend walking down Showoff with her rental gear situation today.

Magic Carpet "Through the Woods" starts at the intersection of MC, Medium and Up Your Sleeve, where MC cuts skiers left toward Trick, intersects with Trick at the bottom of Upper Trick, and continues down until it intersects with Medium and Sunshine Corner.

There were several walkers and at least one friendly sled ride down. Overall, more snow than I expected, but the top of showoff was firm.

TTW is open today and Upper Trick is done snowmaking but they're letting it drain out for a Thursday opening. No word where the snowmaking has moved to, at least not on the one FB post I saw.

There were 3 guns going, and 3 others set up (one of which had run overnight), on Wand into Carumba and Lower Red Line this afternoon. I also heard Lower Trick was up soon but there were no guns on. Given towers they don't need to move equipment there. They were removing some land guns from Upper Trick, while those on Showoff remained in place. They were still running the new Demaclenko blue fan on the lower part of Showoff.

Hoping for some snow. Given the dense base of wet snow/sleet/ice they won't need much for East side greens/blues.......

Agreed re the base. More snow and firmer than i thought it would be. Sounds like a good plan. I would love to see them do lower magic carpet after the lineup you listed.

That said, given all the updates, I was surprised by the seemingly small number of guns running at any one point in time. Is the temporary pump cutting capacity in half?

Looks like AZ will have a strong contingent at Magic this Sunday. Imagining that Sat will be a little to wild for my liking. Seems like Thursday will still be a net +
