New product training in Paris, very boring. This trip is sapping the fun out of being in Europe.

What are you saying, Rambo?! :uzi: :uzi:
I wish I had enough clout with Ma Nat to effect her decisions one way or another. The fact of the matter is I don't and the speculation threads help keep my mind on what's important - cold and snow, when it's warm and rainy...

I spent about 2 weeks in Paris. Before I give my impressions of that city, how are you enjoying it?
Hmmm, I'll try to be diplomatic. I hate this F'ing French keyboard. The letters are in different locations and you need to go beyond just using the Shift key. I'm getting a little sick of the brasseries and bistros (don't get me wrong the food at these places is great). The wife and I had Sunday to ourselves and hoofed it around San Lazarre (sp?). We are looking forward to the weekend when we can hit the museums and check out some other parts of the city. The city is beautiful, but I think its prettier at night. The pollution is pretty bad and cig smoke is overwhelming. My wife is pregnant and her heightened sense of smell is making the pollution and smoke worse. The locals have been OK. As with any country there are some rude people and some kind ones. As I observe other Americans and how uncouth they are I understand why we get a bad wrap here.
My opinion is still being shaped. I will report back at the end of next week. Part of my so so review is due to missing my dogs and missing some opportunities to ski.
Jim, your thoughts? Suggestions on things we shouldnèt miss?
Paris itself is historic. Lots of history there. Like any other city, it is polluted and sometimes smelly. The food is OK...like anywhere else, it gets better as you pay more.
The people there try to act like New Yorkers...busy, always trying to be fashionable, and rude. But it's a feeble attempt. The fashion would go over better if they showered more than once a week. And the cigarettes! Holy crap these people are smokestacks. In the end, Paris was my least favorite part of France. The rest was wonderful though.
As for places to go, you must see the Louvre. And don't miss a walk through the Latin quarter of Paris where the artists live. Very bohemian. The Eiffel tower is OK too, but the gardens and fountains that surround it are the real attraction.

It's too bad that the word "gay" has gotten such a bad rap.
Check the spelling on "immediately" in your little pic Einstein.
