Seeing that some of you guys are from greater Boston and even remember the old prospect hill... I though I would start a thread dedicated to it. I took a hike through there a few weeks ago, and was astounded at really how big of an area it was for such a small hill. I know a couple of years ago snowflex or something was looking to recut the trails. How great would it be though for the city of waltham to actually allow the re-establishment of this great local hill.

Being a waltham native, and someone who lives close to the hill it kills me each time driving down trapello road to see it so overgrown and neglected. I wish there was something we as a community could do, whether it be have the one trail re-cut to hike it to earn our turns. Either way, I felt like venting my aggravation... Since this is a skiing forum.

I also know nelsap has a great article on them too!

Yup... skied there many times as a kid... IIRC, they used to have an after school special lift ticket that was pretty cheap. I also remember it being pretty icy a lot of the time.
