I've purposely stayed out of the Yankee thread this year because I blew my top on a similar thread last year and had to edit. However...why would you want the yanks to get knocked out of the wildcard? Scared? As a Yankee fan, it never bothered me when the Sox would be in the playoffs. I'll never understand Sox fans, sorry.

I am a Mets fan and don't dislike the yanks, but don't like them. But I hate their fans

Come on, the guy is old, sick and fading fast. I don't understand how people (Red Sox fans, gulp, included) can still bash the guy. He's a senior citizen in poor health, not the Steinbrenner of yesteryear.

Hard to believe but with their 85th win with 20 games to go the Redsox have matched last years win total.

well that would be 15-6 possible but they will probably be more like 12-9 for 97 wins.
