Interesting video though it looks like it is a bit out of context. It seems like people rushed in perhaps due to something happening off camera, perhaps a change in the act or something if it was filmed at an outdoor festival. Or perhaps it was staged. I have witnessed and been part of this type of thing many a times. From a clubbing perspective, I loved to dance and would be one of the first guys on a dance floor. It is an interesting invisible barrier to walk across. Because once one person starts everyone turns and watches. And the second person stands there and says, ah... that is easier now. No joke. What usually trips a crowd at a dance club are the 3-4 drunk girls that start dancing. Nothing fills a dance floor quicker than a bunch of drunk girls starting to dance and screaming like it is already 1am. Dance floors never swarm that quickly until either a headliner goes on or a sox game gets out. Well, at least that is what I have experienced.

I don't know how much this type of thing parallels real life. From a dance floor perspective, being the first is WAY harder than being the second, so I have to disagree with the video on that perspective (though I understand what the guy was getting at, importance rather than difficulty but I think degree of difficulty contributes to importance). But on the flip side, even if the solo dancing guy does not get at it, eventually a drunk pack of 4 girls will get drunk enough to make something happen. Moral of the story is drink more sooner in the night if you want to be a leader. :)

From a "movement" perspective, this is pretty sound. Movement's don't happen because of one lone crazy guy but because a few other people believe strongly in the crazy guy's message and spread the word, recruit, and go after it with zeal. I just think the solo dancing thing turning into a mob is either taken out of context or staged and is not a true parallel but taken out of context to work within the speaker's narration.

Don't post her pic if you don't want comments on her. And it just doesn't belong in this thread at all.
