Another mountain offering free stuff. From what I've seen of Saturday crowds this season, and assuming it's that bad everywhere, I'm not surprised it's come to this.

Yesterday and today at Snowbird were both busier than expected. I heard that Saturday was busy. A lot of folks visiting from out of town.

Conditions at both Alta and Snowbird are pretty rough on the main runs. You can only groom cement so many times.......

Remember, this is an eastern ski forum. You don't have to remind us how many times you can groom cement.

Headed out Wednesday to Alta/Bird for five plus weeks..will bring some Vermont snow with. Should arrive same day the Patroits win the Superbowl..😛

Weather will give..has to.

Bring some carving skis along with your wider skis. There are worse things then low crowds, firm chalk and bright sunshine:)

It’s set to snow on Monday next week….

Well you're timing it right because the next forecasted storm is a day or 2 after you arrive, and then supposedly the pattern switches to this part of the world's favor.

Me thinks that people’s reaction is a bit dramatic. One bad season and that’s it the reputation is shot? Oh well maybe all the dreaded crowds will die down. (Sarcasm off).

I’m bummed that Colorado snow pack is at its lowest point ever but don’t think it’s a new normal. There is still skiing out there and I’m still going out in March and have no regrets with my investment out there.

It does look like there could be a pattern change on the way and March and April are usually the snowiest months of the year at least in Colorado. I will not abandon the ship.

Im finding off the trail is better than on at alta.
And devoid of people in certain areas.
Yeah, I explored a little bit the last two days and had mixed results. Some decent turns over in Gad 2. Upper Silver Fox was meh. At Alta I also had some meh conditions over in Supreme.
