GILFORD, New Hampshire -- Gunstock Adaptive will host Party on the Snow. This is a fundraising event for the Adaptive program at Gunstock Mountain Resort. Everyone who participates enjoys a day and night of activities that make total use of the resort that surrounds them. Skiing, Snowboarding and Tubing are only part of the festivities!
On March 14th 2009, Gunstock Adaptive will hold the "Party on the Snow" at Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford NH. From 8am until 10pm that night, the adaptive program has organized a slew of activities that participants will surely enjoy. Team registration starts at 8am. Once registered, the teams of 4 people will be able to ski or snowboard from lift opening to closing at 10pm at night. At 4pm when the tubing park opens, participants can enjoy thrilling runs in the lift serviced tube park. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be provided to all the teams during the day. Just after the BBQ dinner and awards ceremony, a Rock and Roll Band will play from 6pm until 9:30 that night! Ski or snowboard, tube, dance then ski or dance some more! Prizes of ski and stay packages will be awarded to the teams and individuals who raise the most money. Prizes will also be awarded to the best costumes for individuals as well as the best team costumes. This is surely to be one of the best values of skiing in New England. This event is provided to raise money for the adaptive program at Gunstock. Presently, Team Captains are being sought to register organized teams. Each team raises $500 dollars or more to participate in the activities. The goal is to raise $10,000 to assist in training instructors and purchase specialized equipment for the students use. Ability Plus at Gunstock Mountain Resort is a non profit organization that provides students ski and snowboard instruction. Using specialized equipment and trained ski instructors, students of all ages experience a sense of freedom and accomplishment. Students come from all around New England to Gunstock to enjoy it's family oriented appeal.

The moneys collected go directly to the adaptive program to enhance training of it's instructors, and to purchase specialized ski or snowboard equipment for the students to use. This is one event that will surely be one that many will consider to come back to year on end.
